Smart Locker Now Available in Fornos de Algodres
A new solution is here to simplify access to shopping and bring technology and the community closer together.
Fornos de Algodres already has itsnew Smart Locker up and running, installed onEstrada Principal, next to the mural. This infrastructure was implementedaspart ofthe national “Digital Commercial Neighborhoods”project, funded bythe Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), and aims to bring citizens closer to innovative digital solutions to facilitate access to goods purchased online.
The Smart Locker is availableto the general publicand allows forsimple, secure, and self-service package pickup 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a modern solution that meets today’s societal needs, offering greater convenience when receiving purchases made through e-commerce.
This initiative is part of the strategy tomodernize and digitize local commerce, bringing the region closer to new technologies and contributing to economic revitalization and the enhancement of local commerce.
The Smart Locker also features a refrigerated compartment, allowing for the safe and autonomous pickup of packages that need to be kept at low temperatures. The equipment is set up to receive packages from various participating brands and platforms, including:
ZARA, PULL&BEAR, H&M, SHEIN, SHOWROOMPRIVE.PT, TEMU, WOMEN’SECRET, VERBAUDET, DECATHLON, LANIDOR, ABOUT YOU, ALMEDINA, WELLS, LOJA DO CHAMPÔ, NESPRESSO, AGRILOJA, LEROY MERLIN, RÁDIO POPULAR, MBIT, PORTUGALINTERNET.COM, GLOBAL DATA, andANIMALZON.
With this new service, the Municipality of Fornos de Algodres reinforces its commitment toinnovation, the digital transition, and the continuous improvement of the services provided to the public, while promoting the integration of local businesses into the digital age.
